One Eyeland Top 10 Landscape Photographers 2024: World Rank #7

I'm very happy to have made it back into the One Eyeland Top 10 Landscape Photographers World Ranking after 2020 (Rank #5) and 2022 (Rank #2). I was a judge in this contest in 2021 and 2023 and therefore did not participate. I achieved first place in the rankings for my home country, Germany.

Two of my images ("captivating blue" in the Aerial category and "yearning for spring" in the Waterfalls category) received Gold Awards, the image "Skaftá" received a Silver Award, four images ("midsummer night" in the Mountains category, "Lights over Iceland" in the Night category, "Dubai Business Bay" in the Urban Landscapes category, and "holidays are coming" in the Winter category) received Bronze Awards, and three images ("Lagh da Saoseo" in the Autumn category, "ray of hope" in the Lakes category, and "Halloweenmoon" in the Night category) were named finalists.

The Top 10 Landscape Photographers is one of a series of annual contests organized by One Eyeland, founded in 2008 by Sharad Haksar. What makes these contests unique is that they don't just evaluate individual images; instead, the scores for each image are added together, and the total score is used to create a ranking. The top ten images from each participant count toward the final score.
